Stroll 'n Roll 2009

In September, Kessler Foundation hosted its 8th Annual Stroll N’ Roll event in Verona Park. Under glorious skies, strollers and rollers completed the 5K race in three laps around the park. More than 200 people of all abilities participated in the event, which featured entertainment, refreshments, face painting and balloon animals for the kids and T shirts for all. Stroll N’ Roll is more than a fun and healthful way to bring people together. Attendees learn about local disability services and ongoing clinical studies at the Foundation’s Research Center, which aims to improve the lives of people with stroke, multiple sclerosis, and injuries of the brain and spinal cord. This year, Stroll N’ Roll raised approximately $45,000 to support the Foundation’s research and community employment programs, as well as its successful injury prevention program—“ThinkFirst”.
