Physical Therapist

Participate in all aspects of research training and testing and quality assurance of data for the projects that are generated out of the Tim and Caroline Center for Spinal Stimulation.  As an integral member of the research team, will play a primary role in day-to-day research activities, participant coordination, and collection of research protocol requirements.

 

Responsibilities include
  • Conduct clinical assessments as part of research studies; collect and analyze data; ensure accuracy and adherence to research methodologies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, coordinators, engineers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in administering and managing research protocols (research procedures, application of EMG electrodes, and other testing procedures) under the guidance of Director, research scientists and/or physicians.
  • Ensure standardization of clinical testing with other research study clinicians.
  • Oversee data entry and study documentation (participant binders and databases).
  • Contribute to scholarly publications related to spinal stimulation research and physical therapy.
  • Assist in recruitment/scheduling/screening/tracking of research participants throughout the study period.
  • Ensure ethical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements in research activities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-approved physical therapy program.
  • Current New Jersey state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • At least five years of experience with individuals with a spinal cord injury.
